Children make great students for martial arts classes. All of the classes at Family Karate Center in Montgomery, AL are intended to build self-confidence and leadership skills. All the kicking and punching makes the learning fun.
Mommy & Me - For students as young as 2 years old. These student are taught the very basic martial arts moves such as kicking and blocking.They are taught to use simple manners, to be focused in class, and to develop self-discipline.
Tiny Tigers - For students aged 3 to 5. These students are taught basic karate forms and movements. The training builds self-confidence and improves coordination.
Little Dragons - For students aged 5 to 7. These students are taught the basics quickly and move to more advanced forms and techniques. The training improves control and coordination while building strength, flexibility, and stmina.
Junior Eagles - For students aged 8 to 12. These students are taught basic and advanced techniques that will build self-confidence and leadership abilities. Advanced students are often tasked with assisting the beginner students.
Ask Mommy First - This program is aimed at the youngest students but is applicable to any aged child. The Ask Mommy First program encourages children to recognize and learn to react to a potentially dangerous situations. Chilren are taught the words and actions to use that could keep them away from kidnappers or sexual preditors.
Stranger Danger - This program is aimed at children of any age. The Stranger Danger program makes every student aware of techniques to both avoid and escape from kidnappers and other attackers. There is a very strong focus on self-defense and escape techniques. |
